Her tarikatın kendine münhasır evrâdı bulunmaktadır. Bunların uzunluğu ve tekrar etme adedi farklıdır. Hatta bu farklılıklar aynı tarikatın kolları arasında dahi söz konusu olabilir. Tam zıddı olarak bir tarikatın evradının yer aldığı evrâd kitabında, diğer bazı tarikat önderlerinin dua ve hiziplerini de görmek mümkündür. Yapılan uygulamaların tümü cehrî ve hafî zikir olarak iki ana kısımda incelenir. Başlangıcı Hz. Ali’ye dayanan Cehrî virdi uygulayanların başında Kâdiriyye tarikatı gelmektedir. Kâdirilikte münferit olarak tüm letâifleri kullanarak zikir yapıldığı gibi toplu halde Cehrî zikrin yapılması da uygun görülmüştür. Bu çalışmanın yapılmasındaki ana husus Kuzey Afrika Kâdiriyye tarikatında icrâ edilen münferit ve toplu zikirlerin uyugulanışı ve tarihi süreç içerisinde yapılan değişikliklerin incelenmesidir. Özellikle Şeyh Abdülkerim el-Muğîlî tarafından yapılan değişiklik ve Sîdî Muhtar b. Ahmed el-Küntî tarafından yapılan bir kısım eklemeler yaparak yeniden yapılandırdığı evrad tetkik edilmiştir.

In particular, the documentation has been re-examined by making changes made by Sheikh Abdul Karim al-Mughili and some additions made by Sidi Mukhtar b. Ahmad al-Kunti
