Abstract:

Purpose: Our clinic was intended to evaluate the results of the intramedular ulna nausea of patients who received surgery due to the front arm fractures. In this study, between January 2015 and December 2019, the results of the intramedular radium ulna scratching in the 50 patients who received surgery by applying to the ortopedic and traumatological clinic closed or due to type 1 open front arm fractures were examined retrospective. 36 of the patients were men, 14 were women and the average age was 36,1±16,8. Patients with an average follow-up period of 56 (48-120) weeks were monitored in terms of postoperative functionality and the condition of coating. Results: The patient's arms, shoulders and hands problems survey (DASH) score average was calculated at 5.8 (3.3-38.8). According to Grace Eversman’s assessment criteria, 41 patients (82%) received excellent, 8 patients (16%) received good and 1 patient (2%) received acceptable results. According to Anderson criteria; 47 patients (94) were perfect and 3 patients (6%) were good. The rate was 100 percent. Results: The advantages of the method of intramedular nail detection include the need for small exposure, the short duration of operation, the risk of infection is low, it can be closed, it is cosmetically suitable, the duration of immobilization is short, the periodostal scratch is less possible, the fixation is solid and the stability is high, the complication is less visible, the curvature rates are high, the need for implant removal is less. This is why intramedular nail detection practices have been found to be a reliable treatment method in the adult age group and to be an alternative to other surgical treatments.
