Abstract:

Agricultural product pattern is a term that expresses the diversity and distribution of agricultural products in a particular geographical region. This pattern is used to determine which products such as plant breeding and animal husbandry are focused on in the areas where production is made in the agricultural sector and in which regions these products are concentrated.The agricultural pattern is extremely important in terms of many issues such as food security, economic development, environmental sustainability, climate change, rural development and social welfare. Agriculture is of great importance for the Turkish economy. The aim of this study is to analyze Turkey's agricultural product pattern in the West and Central Anatolia Regions. The reason for choosing these regions is that they are the regions with the largest agricultural area among the regions of Turkey. In this context, in this study, firstly, the definition of the agricultural product pattern and the reasons for its importance are emphasized, then the agricultural product patterns of the Western and Central Anatolian Regions, together with their sub-regions, are examined and the changes between the years 1995-2020 are tried to be determined.
