Abstract:

The aim of this research is to determine the impact of problem-based FeTeMM applications on student academic achievements. In the research, a single group of quantum research method patterns were used in pre-test - the last test weak experimental patterns. The research study group consists of 19 students who are studying in the sixth class of a state high school located in Bitlis or Adilcevaz district in the 2016-2017 educational year. The success test used as a data collection tool in the research was applied as the last test before the problem-based FeTeMM applications, after the five-hour applications as a pre-test. The analysis of the data obtained was carried out by non-parametric statistical techniques with the Wilcoxon test and the Mann-Whitney U test. The research finds that problem-based FeTeMM applications enhance student academic achievements. There was no significant difference between the academic achievements of girls and boys students before and after application.  In light of the research results, problem-based learning used in the implementation of FeTeMM education can be said to be an effective method in increasing student success.
