Abstract:

This study aims to study the existence of meaning in life and the search for meaning in life and the relationship between the self-perceptions of the role of the parent and the psychological resistance of children with special needs. Hierarchical regression analysis has been used to determine the relationship between the dependent variable of the study and the independent variables. The research was carried out with 406 special-need children's parents in the rehabilitation centers in Istanbul.The research has been used as a means of data collection as the Measure of Meaning in Life, the Measure of Self-Perception Related to the Role of Parents (ERKA) and the Measure of Psychological Resilience for Adults (PDÖ). The study found that the relationship between the search for meaning in the YÖ life, the existence of meaning in the YÖ life, the satisfaction of the role of the man and the balance of the role of the man and the total score of the PDÖ was meaningful, the name of these variables revealed the total variance of the total score of the PDÖ of 18%. It is also found that the balance of the role of the man is not a meaningful contributor, the relative level of importance of the other variables that are contributing is, respectively, the existence of meaning in the life of the man, the search for meaning in the life of the man, and the satisfaction of the role of the man.
