Teknolojik gelişmeler, toplumsal alandaki sosyal ve kültürel etkilerinin yanında, geliştirildiği ülkenin ekonomik kalkınma hamlesinin en önemli adımlarından biri olarak tanımlanmaktadır. Günümüz dünyasında, ülkeler arasında gerçekleşen teknolojik transfer ve etkileşimler, bu alanda gelişmiş ülkelerin ekonomik gelirlerinin çoğunluğunu oluşturmaktadır. Ülkelerin yüksek teknoloji miktarlarını arttırmak için izledikleri en yaygın strateji, teknokent yapılanmalarını desteklemektir. Bu çalışmada, firmaları sıralamak ve en etkin birimi belirlemek için geliştirilen bazı Veri Zarflama Analizi modelleri ele alınmış ve ODTÜ Teknokent bünyesinde faaliyet gösteren firmaların performansı bu modeller ile incelenmiştir. Firmaların performans değerlendirmesinde girdi olarak personel sayısı ve AR-GE Gideri değişkenleri; çıktı olarak ise proje sayısı, fikri mülkiyet hakkı sayısı, AR-GE geliri, iş birliği sayısı, firma puanı ve desteklenen proje sayısı değişkenleri dikkate alınmıştır.
In addition to their effect on social and cultural aspects of the society, technological advancement is one of the most important contributors to the economic growth of a country. Transnational technological interaction and exchanges constitute the most significant part of the national income for countries that are advanced in the field of technology. Most prevalent strategy used by countries to increase development of advanced technology is to support technoparks. In this study, some Data Envelopment Analysis models that have been developed to rank firms and identify the most efficient unit has been analyzed and performance of companies that are operating within the scope of METU Tecnopark has been examined with these models. While examining the performance of companies, number of employees and R&D expenses was used as input parameters; number of projects, number of intellectual property rights, R&D income, number of collaborations, company score and number of projects that are funded was used as output parameters.
