Abstract:

Workplace accidents represent a critical issue within the forest products industry, posing significant challenges to employee safety. Despite ongoing advancements in occupational health and safety measures, the incidence of accidents remains high. Enterprises operating in the forest products sector are among the high-risk enterprises due to their working conditions. Consequently, prioritizing training and precautionary measures within these enterprises is essential for fostering a culture of workplace safety and occupational health. In this study, the effects of applying work safety and occupational health norms to employees in enterprises operating in the forest products sector in Denizli were examined. For this purpose, a survey was conducted for the employees employed in small and medium-sized enterprises in the sector. The obtained data were analyzed using R-Studio software. In the analysis part, Partial Least Squares (PLS) approach and Structural Equation Model (SEM) analysis were used. The findings of these analyses underscore the imperative need for enhancing awareness and consciousness-building initiatives, as well as further investment in educational programs to enhance workplace safety and occupational health practices.
