Amaç: Bu araştırma hemşirelik öğrencilerinin yaşlı ayrımcılığına ilişkin tutumlarının belirlenmesi amacıyla gerçekleştirildi. Gereç ve Yöntem: Tanımlayıcı ve kesitsel tipte olan bu araştırma kapsamına bir sağlık yüksekokulunda okuyan 110 öğrenciden 85’i alındı. Veri toplama aracı olarak tanıtıcı özelliklerin yer aldığı anket formu ve Yaşlı Ayrımcılığı Tutum Ölçeği YATÖ kullanıldı. Araştırmadan elde edilen veriler bilgisayar ortamında, student-t testi, Mann-Whitney U testi ve Kruskal Wallis analizleri kullanılarak değerlendirildi. Bulgular: Hemşirelik öğrencilerinin YATÖ puan ortalaması 83.67±9.25 olarak bulundu. YATÖ alt boyutlarından yaşlıya yönelik olumsuz ayrımcılık, yaşlının yaşamını sınırlama ve YATÖ toplam puan ortalamaları ile klinik uygulamalarda yaşlı bireye bakım verme durumu arasında istatistiksel açıdan bir fark saptanmazken, YATÖ alt boyutlarından yaşlıya yönelik olumlu ayrımcılık puan ortalaması ile klinik uygulamalarda yaşlı bireye bakım verme durumu arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı fark bulundu p
Purpose: This research was carried out with the aim of determining the attitudes of nursing students towards age discrimination. Tools and Methods: 85 of 110 students studying at a health college were taken into this research, which is of a defining and cutting-edge type. The data collection tool is the survey form containing indicative characteristics and the age-related discrimination attitude scale is used. The data obtained from the research was evaluated using computer media, student-t test, Mann-Whitney U test and Kruskal Wallis analysis. Results: The average YATÖ score of nursing students was 83.67±9.25. There is no statistical difference between the negative discrimination to the elderly, the limitation of the life of the elderly and the average score of the elderly and the condition of care for the elderly in clinical practices, while the positive discrimination to the elderly and the average score of care for the elderly in clinical practices have found a statistically significant difference between the status of care for the elderly in clinical practices.
