Abstract:

The aim of this study is to examine the experiences of the students participating in the Erasmus+ student mobility program about twenty-first century skills and their views on the skills they acquired through this mobility. Ten students who studied at a Science High School in the Central Black Sea Region in the 2021-2022 academic year and went to Greece within the scope of Erasmus+ student mobility program participated in the research. The views of the participants were obtained through semi-structured interview forms created by the researchers. Then, the data were analyzed with the continuous comparative analysis method. As a result of the research, it was seen that the participants achieved the gains determined within the scope of the program. As a result, students participating in the Erasmus+ student exchange program; It has been seen that they have gained many gains such as having intercultural experience, using digital skills effectively, developing communication skills, working on a project basis, interacting interculturally, developing foreign language skills, and gaining sensitivity to different cultures. In addition, it has been seen that Erasmus+ Program students have gained many gains in individual, social, academic and professional fields. The research findings were discussed in the light of the findings in the literature, and suggestions were made such as adding elective courses related to the student exchange program to the curriculum of the schools in order to make the program more efficient, or organizing various activities where students benefiting from mobility can share their experiences with other students.
