Mart 2020 tarihinden itibaren Türkiye’de görülmeye başlayan Covid-19 Salgını nedeniyle üniversitelerde yüz yüze eğitim yapan coğrafya bölümleri üniversitelerin teknolojik altyapıları doğrultusunda çevrimiçi eğitime geçmek zorunda kalmışlardır. Beşeri ve fiziki unsurları hem teorik hem de uygulamalı çalışmalarla inceleyen coğrafya biliminin çevrimiçi öğrenme uygulamaları da farklılık göstermek zorundadır. Bu araştırmada yüz yüze coğrafya eğitimi alırken Covid-19’un getirdiği zorunlu şartlardan dolayı çevrimiçi eğitim almak zorunda kalan coğrafya öğrencilerinin çevrimiçi öğrenmeye karşı tutumları araştırılmıştır. Araştırma İç Anadolu Bölgesi’nde bulunan bir devlet üniversitesinde coğrafya bölümünde okuyan öğrencilerle birlikte gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmada veri toplama aracı olarak “Çevrimiçi Öğrenme Tutum Ölçeği” kullanılmış olup araştırmada elde edilen veriler SPSS 25.0 paket programında analiz edilmiştir. Araştırmada çevrimiçi öğrenmeye karşı tutumda ortaya çıkan genel ortalama puan 56 olup, coğrafya öğrencilerinin çevrimiçi öğrenmeye karşı düşük tutum içerisinde oldukları ortaya çıkmıştır. Coğrafya öğrencilerinin çevrimiçi öğrenme tutum ölçeğinde en az katılım gösterdiği ifade “çoğu öğrenci çevrimiçi öğrenmeyi yüz yüzeye tercih eder” cümlesi olup, öğrencilerin yüz yüze eğitime karşılık çevrimiçi öğrenmeyi tercih etmedikleri ortaya çıkmıştır. Çevrimiçi öğrenmeye karşı erkek öğrenciler kız öğrencilere göre daha olumlu tutum içerisindedir. Evinde kendine ait çalışma odası bulunan öğrenciler bulunmayan öğrencilere göre çevrimiçi öğrenmeye karşı daha olumlu tutuma sahiptir.
As a result of the Covid-19 outbreak that began to be seen in Turkey from March 2020, geographical departments who are faced-to-face training in universities have been forced to pass on-line education according to the technological infrastructure of universities. The online learning practices of geography that study human and physical elements with both theoretical and practical studies must also differ. This study examined the attitudes of geographical students who were forced to receive online education due to the compulsory conditions brought by Covid-19 while taking face-to-face geography education. The research was carried out with students studying in the geography department at a state university located in the Anatolian region. The study used the "Online Learning Attitude Scale" as a data collection tool and the data obtained in the study was analyzed in the SPSS 25.0 package program. The study found that the average attitude to online learning was 56 and that geography students were in a low attitude to online learning. The expression that geography students have the least participation in the scale of online learning attitude is the phrase "most students prefer face-to-face online learning" and it has been revealed that students do not prefer face-to-face learning against face-to-face learning. Men’s students are more positive than girls’ students. Students with their own working room at home have a more positive attitude towards online learning than students who do not find.
Due to the Covid-19 epidemic, which has started to appear in Turkey since March 2020, geography departments that practice face-to-face education in universities have had to switch to online education in line with the technological infrastructure of universities. The online learning practices of geography science, which examine human and physical elements with both theoretical and applied studies, also have to differ. In this study, the attitudes of geography students who were forced to receive online education instead of studying face-to-face due to the mandatory conditions imposed by Covid-19 were investigated. The research was conducted with students studying in the geography department at a State University in Central Anatolia Region. The “Online Learning Attitude Scale” was used as the data collection tool in the study and the data obtained in the study was analyzed in the SPSS 25.0 package program. In the study, the general average score for attitudes towards online learning was 56, and it was found that geography students had a low attitude towards online learning. On the online learning attitude scale, “Most students prefer online learning to face-to-face” was the phrase that the least geography students participated in and it turned out that students do not prefer online learning by comparision with face-to-face training. Male students have a more positive attitude towards online learning than female students. Students who have own study room at home have a more positive attitude towards online learning than the students who don’t.
