Üstün yetenekli çocuklar, sosyolojinin ve psikolojinin önemli bir zeminini oluşturmaktadır. Zira toplum içindeki görünür farklarıyla bu çocuklar gerek sosyal yaşantılarında gerekse eğitim hayatlarında birtakım zorluklarla karşılaşmaktadır. Ancak burada önemli olan bir diğer nokta ise bu zorlukların çözümünde getirilen uygulamaların ne kadar doğru olduğunun da tartışılması gerektiğidir. Bu makalenin amacı üstün yetenekli çocukların özellikle eğitim hayatında karşılaştıkları zorlukları ve dolayısıyla ailelerinin karşılaştıkları zorlukları ele almak ve çözüm önerilerinde bulunmaktadır. Bu araştırmada nitel araştırma yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Araştırma için üstün zekalı çocukların anne ve babaları ile görüşmeler gerçekleştirilmiştir. Çalışma grubunu 12 katılımcı oluşturmaktadır. Bunlardan 6’sı kadın, 6’sı erkektir. Görüşmelerde veri elde etmek için yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu kullanılmıştır. Veriler, araştırmacı tarafınca açık uçlu sorulardan meydana gelen yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu ile elde edilmiştir. Araştırmadan elde edilen bulgular sonucunda, üstün yetenekli çocukların eğitiminin yetersiz ve oldukça maliyetli olduğuna ulaşılmıştır. Bu bağlamda, üstün yetenekli çocukların bulundukları okulların donanımı artırılabilir ve onların ihtiyaçlarına uygun olacak şekilde materyaller okul tarafından temin edilebilir.
Excellent talented children form an important foundation of sociology and psychology. Because of the apparent differences within the society, these children face a number of difficulties in their social lives and in their educational lives. But another important point here is that it should also be discussed how accurate the practices introduced to solving these challenges are. The aim of this article is to address the challenges that highly skilled children face, especially in their educational life, and therefore the challenges that their families face, and to propose solutions. In this study, the method of research was used. For the research, discussions were conducted with the parents of superior-intelligent children. The work group consists of 12 participants. Six of them are women, and six are men. In conversations, a semi-configured conversation form was used to obtain data. The data was obtained by a semi-configured interview form from the researchers’ open end questions. The findings from the research have found that the education of superior talented children is insufficient and quite expensive. In this context, the equipment of the schools in which superior talented children are located can be enhanced and materials can be supplied by the school in such a way that will suit their needs.
Gifted children form an important basis of sociology and psychology. Because, with their visible differences in society, these children face some difficulties both in their social and educational lives. However, another important point here is that it is necessary to discuss how accurate the practices introduced in solving these difficulties are. The aim of this article is to address the difficulties that gifted children face, especially in their education life, and therefore the difficulties their families face and offer solutions. Qualitative research method was used in this study. For the research, interviews were conducted with the parents of gifted children. In this study, which included 12 people in total, 6 of the participants were female and 6 were male. A semi-structured interview form was used to obtain data in the interviews. The data were obtained by the researcher with a semi-structured interview form consisting of open-ended questions. As a result of the findings obtained from the research, it has been reached that the education of gifted children is insufficient and quite costly. In this context, the equipment of schools with gifted children can be increased and materials can be provided by the school in accordance with their needs.
