Abstract:

The demand for health tourism that people prefer to be treated or protect their health is increasing every day. The aim of this study is to reveal the reasons why tourists prefer Turkey to raise awareness of the health tourism potential of Turkey, encourage entrepreneurs to invest in health tourism enterprises and determine the expectations of tourists from health tourism enterprises. The research method applied the quality research method and used the semi-configured interview technique for the purpose of obtaining data. In the three hotel operations located in the village of Greşilyurt, Güre and Davutlar, tourists from 12 different countries who participated in health tourism activities have been interviewed. In the framework of the study, health tourism, health services and tourism entrepreneurship have been studied in a conceptual perspective and literature scan in the related fields has been carried out. According to the findings obtained, the reasons for preference of Turkey are the advanced health services and the suitability of prices, the search for solutions to health problems, the possibilities of Turkey are in the capacity to treat both people and vacation and the appropriate climate.
