Abstract:

Progress, development and continuous development are the common objectives of all countries. In this regard, the countries carry out projects by revealing the resources they have on their own or in international cooperation. The need for project logic has also shown itself in the field of education and learning and the project-based learning model has been revealed. A project designed to address a particular need can also be converted into an effective learning process. Within time, a project management understanding was needed to be completed effectively and efficiently, and the concept of project management was revealed. Project management has a wide network of skills. In this context, it will be appropriate and meaningful to have the necessary knowledge, attitudes and skills in project management for all project-based research and practices. Project Management consists of the most basic and knowledge fields and specific process groups. Project Management information fields can be specified as: scope, communication, budget, time, human resources, supply, risk, quality, stakeholders and integration management. In this study, the definitions of the fields of information specified, information for the fields of information was given. Examples were made on an E-Read Calendar project that was originally developed to make information easier to understand and the project management information fields more concrete. It is believed that this study could give people who do project-based practices eight different fields of knowledge and a different perspective on each other’s interaction situations.

The need of project logic impressed education and learning disciplines and project based learning emerged. The project addressing the needs can be transformed an effective learning process. The concept of project management emerged because sense of project management required to complete project effective and efficient. Project management contains skill networks in itself. In this context having required information, attitudes and skills about project management is appropriate and meaningful by whom carries out project based research or application. Project management basically includes knowledge areas and process groups. Project management knowledge areas are as follows: Scope, communication, budget, time, human resource, procurement, risk, quality, stakeholder and integration. In this paper knowledge areas are defined and explained. The explanations are illustrated by an authentic E-Reading Calender project. This paper can be thought to achieve different point of view by whom carries out project based research or application about eight knowledge areas and interactions between each other.
