Bu araştırmanın amacı 1996- 2015 yılları arasında Türkiye’de eğitim bilimleri alanında yapılan yayınların atıf alma düzeyleri ve h indeksi bağlamında yıllara göre incelenmesidir. Bu bağlamda yayın sayısı, ulusal ve uluslararası atıf sayısı, yayın başına düşen ulusal ve uluslararası atıf sayısı ve H indeksi değişkenleri dikkate alınarak yıllar içerisindeki değişim izlenmiştir. Araştırma betimsel araştırma türlerinden boylamsal tarama modelinde yürütülmüştür. Türkiye’de 1996-2015 yılları arasında eğitim bilimleri alanında uluslararası tarama indekslerinde taranabilen toplam 28.756 yayın üzerinden gerçekleştirilmiştir. Ulusal ve uluslararası veriler “SCImago Journal&Country Ranks” internet sitesinden elde edilmiştir. Verilerin analizinde gerekli betimsel istatistikler hesaplanmış ve bulgular grafiklerle ifade edilmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda Türkiye’deki akademik yayın sayıları ve atıf sayılarındaki değişiminin, aralarında bilimsel anlamda gelişmiş ülkelerin olduğu ülkelerle benzer olduğu görüşmüştür. Ayrıca yıldan yıla yayın sayısı artarken atıf alma düzeylerinde ise hızlı bir düşüşün olduğu görülmektedir. Ülkemizin eğitim bilimleri alanında akademik yayınlarının artmasına rağmen eğitim alanında yaşanan sorunların çözülememiş olması üzerinde düşünülmesi gereken önemli bir boyuttur

In this study it is aimed to examine the academic articles published in Educational Sciences field in Turkey considering the number of citation and H index through the years of 1996-2015. The changes in the variables such as number of citable documents, number of citation and self-citation, number of citation and self-citation per document and level of H index over the years. This is a longitudinal study. The study was carried out on 28.756 documents which were published in educational science field between the years 1996 and 2015. The relevant data were obtained from SCImago Journal&Country Ranks” web site. Collected data were analysed via descriptive statistics and visualised with graphics. Results showed that considering the changes in the number of citable documents and number of citation, academic articles in Turkey are compatible with those in some developed countries. On the other hand, it is remarkable that the number of citation is decreasing year after year. It is engrossing that although the number of academic articles in educational sciences field in Turkey is increasing day by day, they are not efficient to solve some important educational problems.
