Türk Edebiyatı’nın üretken isimlerinden biri olan ve kaleme almış olduğu eserlerle haklı bir üne sahip olan Hüseyin Rahmi Gürpınar üzerine çok sayıda araştırma yapılmış, makaleler ve tezler yayınlanmıştır. Bununla birlikte, eserlerinde sıklıkla yer verdiği bilimsel ve felsefi unsurlar neredeyse görmezden gelinmiş ve birkaç çalışma dışında üzerinde pek durulmamıştır. Bilime ve bilimsel düşünceye önem veren, yaşadığı dönemdeki bilimsel gelişmeleri takip eden, insanın doğanın bir parçası olarak diğer canlılardan pek bir farkının olmadığını ve onun kurallarına uymak zorunda olduğunu eserlerinde genellikle dile getiren ve bu düşünceleri işlerken de pek çok bilgin, düşünür ve yapıttan yararlanan -yer yer çelişse de- Hüseyin Rahmi Gürpınar’ın bu yönü bizce bir makaleyle sınırlandırılamayacak kadar önemlidir. Bu konuya da eğilinmesi gerektiğini vurguladığını ve işaret fişeğini yaktığını düşündüğümüz çalışmamızda, onun Kuyrukluyıldız Altında Bir İzdivaç (1912), Efsuncu Baba (1924), Deli Filozof (1930), Ölüler Yaşıyorlar mı? (1932), İnsan Önce Maymun muydu? (1934), Dirilen İskelet (1942) ve Gönül Bir Yeldeğirmenidir Sevda Öğütür (1943) adlı eserleri ele alınacak ve edebiyat-bilim ilişkisi bağlamında incelenecektir. Söz konusu eserlerden verilecek bazı pasajlarla, Natüralizmin Türk edebiyatındaki ilk temsilcilerinden biri olan Hüseyin Rahmi Gürpınar’ın ait olduğu akımın özelliğine uygun olarak ele aldığı temalarda bilimsel ve felsefi unsurları nasıl işlediği ve toplumun bunları değerlendirirken neleri dikkate aldığı gözler önüne serilecektir
He is one of the productive names of Turkish Literature and has a legitimate reputation with his works, Hussein Rahmi Gürpınar, a large number of research has been done, articles and theses have been published. However, the scientific and philosophical elements that they frequently present in their works were almost ignored and not much focused on, except for a few studies. Those who pay attention to science and scientific thinking, who follow the scientific developments in the period in which they live, who often express in their works that man as part of nature does not have much difference from other beings and that he must comply with its rules and that many scientists, thinkers, and who benefit from the creation while processing these thoughts - even if the place is contradictory - this aspect of Hussein Rahmi Gürpınar is so important that we think it cannot be limited to an article. In our work that he emphasizes that he should also be inclined to this topic and we think he burns the sign foam, is A Resistant Under the Curtain Star (1912), The Legendary Father (1924), The Crazy Philosopher (1930), The Dead Are Alive? Is Man First a Monkey? The works (1934), Resurrected Eskelet (1942) and A Heartful Yeldeğirmen Is Love and Know (1943) will be discussed and studied in the context of literary-scientific relationship. With some passages from these works, one of the first representatives of naturalism in Turkish literature, Hussein Rahmi Gürpınar, in the topics he dealt with in accordance with the characteristics of the stream that belongs to, how scientific and philosophical elements are processed and what society takes into account when evaluating them.
