Özet:

Abstract enToday, many countries apply both social and economic measures to restrict tobacco smoking in order to minimize the hazards of tobacco consumption on human health. In this context, No. 4207 "Law on Prevention and Control of Hazards of Tobacco Products" was issued and legal restrictions on the use of tobacco were launched in Turkey. According to studies worldwide, tobacco use begins in the period of passing from childhood to adulthood. Therefore, Gazi University students are chosen as the target audience in this study to analyze their tobacco habits, level of awareness on the Law No. 4207, confidence to the applicability and support of this Law. The results of the survey are analyzed through smokers, those who have never smoked and those who smoked over a period and quit.
