Abstract:

This study is aimed at exploring the relationship between problematic internet use and emotional regulation in Turkey in adolescents. In accordance with this purpose, a relative scanning model has been used in the research. The study group consists of 420 high school students. The study used the Internet Addiction Scale (Internet Addiction Scale) to measure the problematic use of the internet in adolescents and the Adolescent Emotional Regulation Scale (EDD) to measure the levels of emotional regulation in adolescents. The analysis of the data from the study used SPSS 23.0. Canonic correlation analysis was conducted to determine the relationship between the problem-used use of the internet and the methods of emotional regulation for adolescents. The analysis found that the common variance shared by teenage emotional editing data sets with problematic internet use was 29.04%. The results obtained were discussed in the light of the summer in the relevant field and were presented in recommendations for future research.
