In the study, it was examined whether there is a difference in the STEM products that the pre-service teachers in different branches during the STEM education process, produced as homogeneous and heterogeneous groups according to their branches. A single-group weak experimental design was used as the research model. A class who graduated from Engineering, Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry departments at a state university and received pedagogical formation education was selected as the study group. According to the project-based learning method, two different problem situations based on real-life problems on Energy Resources were presented to the participants. Before starting the study, the participants were homogeneously grouped according to their branches and the first problem situation, the theme of solar energy, was given. The wind energy theme, which is the second problem situation, is given after the groups are grouped as heterogeneous. The design products of homogeneous groups and heterogeneous groups were evaluated with the social product rubric. At the end of the study, it was determined that the products of heterogeneous groups were more efficient.
