References in many bibliographies are sometimes referred to as "Surname, I", so the citations of academics whose Surname and initials are the same may occasionally interfere. This problem is often the case with citation indexes all over the world.

Arkaik İnançların Hizmetinde Bir Sanat: Hıristiyan İnkültürasyon Aracı Olarak Sinema
2019

Abstract:

A Art in the Service of Archaeological Faiths: Cinema as a Instrument of Christian Inculturation
2019
Author:
Abstract:

In the very ancient times, the myths that are thought to be no longer related to modern life, by changing clothes into modern fiction, are undoubtedly the beginning of the fields in which the cinema comes to us. The seventh art, which is the product of the human imagination, is now in the state of an irrealistic fiction, such as mythological beliefs, extraordinary events and out-of-real circumstances. Without a doubt, the cinema is the top of the areas where the living, living myths are still present today by changing their clothes in modern fiction. Modern cinema is a pitch-i passage of mythic stories and fairy tales. Today, old-time myths are transmitted to the cinema as modern myths with a new perspective. Despite all the originality claim, Christianity is a mixture of thousands of years of faith and mythology. There, many archaeological beliefs can be found. By studying these modern myths discussed in the cinema, we can get the opportunity to understand and interpret the Western mentality that the Christian culture shapes and thus the modern age. The aforementioned archaeological and mythological assumption is still imposed on non-Christian nations by means of indirect or direct cultural vaccination (inculturation).

An Art In The Service Of Archaic Beliefs: Cinema As A Means Of Christian Enculturation
2019

Abstract:

Cinema is undoubtedly one of the areas where the myths, which were thought to have no connection with modern life, appeared in modern fictions in disguise. The 7th art, which is completely the product of human imagination, is now a channel of irreel fictions such as mythological beliefs, extraordinary events and unrealistic situations. Undoubtedly, cinema is one of the most com- mon areas where modern myths are stili alive today, changing in disguise. Mo¬dern cinema is a passageway of mythical stories and tales. Today, myths of old times are transferred to cinema as modern myths from a new perspective. Despi- te ali the claims of authenticity, Christianity is a mixture of thousands of years of faith and mythological productions. It may have traces of many archaic beliefs. By studying these modern myths in cinema, we can have the opportunity to understand and interpret the Western mentality shaped by Christian culture and therefore the modern age. Many archaic beliefs, now thought to have gone away in the past, were incorporated into Christianity and continued to be exported to the whole world under the name of modernism. For example, the pagan Luper- calia festival, which was held in Rome in the middle of February as a kind of fertility ritual and celebrated the arrival of spring, was later attributed to the Christian saint Valentine and turned into Valentine's Day. The aforementioned archaic and mythological product is currently imposed on non-Christian nations through an indirect or direct culture of inoculation. Western cinema, intention- ally or unintentionally, is instrumental in this cultural imperialism. In this article, these examples imposed on us through cinema will be pointed out and some suggestions will be made to protect them.
