Abstract:

The aim of this study is to reveal whether the SCAMPER technique has an effect on creativity in the Master Art workshops of the Department of Painting Education undergraduate students, and if so, to detect the level. The sub-purposes of this study is to determine whether there is a significant difference between the pretest and posttest practice studies of the students in terms of creative approach, compositional setup, image richness and aesthetic value. The study was designed with a single group pretest-posttest quasi-experimental design, which is included in the quantitative research methods. A rubric was preferred as a data collection tool. According to the results of the data analyzed with the Wilcoxon signed-rank test in the SPSS program, a significant difference in favor of the posttest was determined between the pretest application studies and the posttest application studies performed after the SCAMPER training. A statistically significant difference in favor of the posttest was found between the pretest and posttest application studies in the sub-objectives of creative approach, image richness, compositional setup and aesthetic value.
