With the Covid-19 outbreak in 2020, many public areas were temporarily closed in line with security measures. Museums, which are an important factor in the continuation of tourism mobility, have been adversely affected by this situation. In response to the current situation, museums have turned to the internet and social networks for dialogue with visitors, dissemination of content and presentation of events that cannot be physically organized, in order to continue to fulfill their social, cultural and educational functions. Many museums have tried to connect with their visitors in different ways and on different platforms through digital exhibitions, virtual tours, e-learning materials, internet conferences. Providing access to museums using information technologies is defined as the concept of virtual museums. Due to the development of technology, many museums have started to offer augmented virtual reality together with physical objects and environments to visitors. However, it has been limited by the accessibility of systems installed within sites or as part of museum exhibits. In this study, it is aimed to determine the experiences and perspectives of teachers who use virtual museums in educational activities on the use of virtual museum tours for educational purposes. Within the scope of the research, 10 teachers were reached and a semi-structured interview form was used. The semi-structured form consists of two parts and eleven questions. The form was created by experts in the field. In line with the investigations It has been concluded that the importance of virtual museums in education is increasing gradually, that the inclusion of virtual museum tours in the education-teaching processes will have positive reflections on the learning processes, and that teachers generally accept virtual museums as educational materials.
