This study was conducted to find out if children between 2 and 6 years of age, which have not been frequently studied in the summer, have an impact on their families’ holiday decisions. Accordingly, it is known that children have an influence on certain decisions of families – especially in products and services that are directly related to them – that these decisions are more dominant. Therefore, our research is believed to be important in terms of knowing the purchasing behaviors and their places in the decision-making process of children in the aforementioned age group and to contribute to the area. This study has found that the person who makes a vacation decision in the home varies according to demographic factors. According to the level of education, the number of children, the form of family management and the family budget, the person who makes a vacation decision at home has varied. The study also found that the child’s most consideration in the holiday sub-decisions was the choice of hotel/pension, the choice of holiday area and the places/activities to travel, and that the least effective issue was the determination of the holiday budget. In addition, the income levels of families, whether they have single or double income, the number of holidays they spend per year, the level of education differentiate the level of influence on the child’s holidays decisions.
