Bu çalışmanın amacı Glasser’in seçim teorisi temelli temel psikolojik ihtiyaçların romantik ilişkilerdeki doyumuna yönelik ölçek geliştirilmesidir. Ölçeğin hazırlanırken genç yetişkinlik dönemindeki bireylerin yaşadıkları romantik ilişkilerdeki temel psikolojik ihtiyaçlarının doyumları ve romantik ilişkilerini temel psikolojik ihtiyaçlar temelinde ele almaları konusunda farkındalık kazanmaları hedeflenmiştir. Bu amaç doğrultusunda 61 maddelik bir soru havuzu hazırlanmıştır. Uzman görüşlerinin ardından bu madde sayısı 50’ye düşmüştür. Açımlayıcı faktör analizi, doğrulayıcı faktör analizi, uyum geçerliği ve test tekrar test olmak üzere toplamda beş uygulama yapılmıştır. Araştırmanın tüm bu aşamaları için toplamda 904 genç yetişkine ulaşılmıştır. Katılımcıların yaş ortalamaları 21.44 (SD=.065) olarak bulunmuştur. Açımlayıcı faktör analizi sonrasında dört faktörlü bir yapı elde edilmiştir. Bu dört faktörün toplam varyansın %65.35’ini açıkladığı ortaya konulmuştur. Araştırma kapsamında doğrulayıcı faktör analizi iki düzey şeklinde yapılmıştır. Uygulanan doğrulayıcı faktör analizleri sonrasında ölçeğin geçerli olduğu görülmüştür. Uyum geçerliği çalışmaları İlişkilerde Temel Psikolojik İhtiyaçlar Ölçeği ile yapılmıştır. Yapılan analizler sonrasında İlişkilerde Temel Psikolojik İhtiyaçlar ölçeği ve araştırma kapsamında geliştirilen ölçeğin korelasyon katsayısı .75 olarak bulunmuştur. Yapılan diğer analizlerde ölçeğin Cronbach Alpha katsayısı .94, test tekrar test katsayısı .81 olarak ve madde toplam korelasyon değerleri .49 ile .84 arasında hesaplanmıştır. Uygulanan geçerlik ve güvenirlik çalışmalarının ardından Romantik İlişkilerde Temel Psikolojik İhtiyaçların Doyumu Ölçeğinin geçerli ve güvenilir bir ölçek olduğu görülmüştür.
The aim of this study is to develop the scale to the satisfaction of the basic psychological needs based on Glasser's theory of choice in romantic relationships. The aim of the scale is to gain awareness of the satisfaction of the basic psychological needs of young adults in their romantic relationships and their romantic relationships on the basis of the basic psychological needs. For this purpose, a 61 material question pool has been prepared. After the expert opinion, the number of these substances has dropped to 50. A total of five applications have been performed, including the opening factor analysis, the verifying factor analysis, the validity of conformity and the test re-test. For all these stages of the study, a total of 904 young adults were reached. The average age of the participants was 21.44 (SD=.065) After the opening factor analysis, a four-factor structure was obtained. These four factors revealed 65.35% of the total variance. In the framework of the research, the verifying factor analysis was performed in two levels. After the verifying factor analysis applied, the scale was found valid. Compliance validity studies have been carried out with the scale of basic psychological needs in relationships. Following the analysis, the scale of basic psychological needs in relationships and the correlation ratio of the scale developed within the framework of research was .75. In other analyses made, the scale Cronbach Alpha ratio is .94, the test re-test ratio is .81 and the total correlation values of the material are .49 . It is estimated at 84. After the applied validity and reliability studies, the scale of satisfaction of the basic psychological needs in Romantic relationships has been shown to be a valid and reliable scale.

A total of 904 young adults were reached for all these stages of the study. The mean age of the participants was 21.44 (SD=.065). After exploratory factor analysis, a four-factor structure was obtained. These four factors explained 65.35% of the total variance. Within the scope of the research, confirmatory factor analysis was conducted at two levels. After the confirmatory factor analysis, the scale was found to be valid. Convergent validity studies were conducted with the Basic Psychological Needs in Relationships Scale. After the analyses, the correlation coefficient of the Basic Psychological Needs in Relationships scale and the scale developed within the scope of the research was found to be .75. In other analyses, the Cronbach Alpha coefficient of the scale was .94, the test-retest coefficient was .81, and the item-total correlation values were calculated between .49 and .84. Following the validity and reliability studies, the Satisfaction of Basic Psychological Needs in Romantic Relationships Scale was found to be a valid and reliable scale.
