Öğretmenlerin kişisel, pedagojik ve alan bilgilerini güncel tutmaları ve sürekli iyileştirmeleri için hizmet içi eğitimler birçok ülkede kullanılan ana kaynaklar arasında yer almaktadır. Üretim ve hizmet sektörlerindeki hızlı teknolojik değişimler nedeniyle mesleki ve teknik eğitimde hizmet içi eğitimlerin niteliği daha kritik öneme sahiptir. Bu nedenle 2023 Eğitim Vizyonu sonrasındaki üç yılda mesleki ve teknik eğitim alanında hizmet içi eğitim faaliyetleri sektörlerin desteğiyle büyük ölçüde artırılmıştır. Bu çalışmada, son üç yılda mesleki ve teknik eğitimde gerçekleştirilen hizmet içi eğitim faaliyetlerine ilişkin öğretmen görüşlerinin değerlendirilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Bu değerlendirme yapılırken öğretmenlerin eğitime yönelik görüşlerinin yıllara, meslek alanlarına ve kıdemlerine göre nasıl değiştiği de incelenmiştir. Çalışma bulguları, son üç yılda gerçekleştirilen hizmet içi eğitim faaliyetlerine yönelik öğretmen görüşlerinin oldukça olumlu olduğunu göstermiştir. Eğitim ortamı, içeriği ve eğitimci alt ölçeklerindeki maddeleri “yeterli” veya “tamamen yeterli” bulan öğretmenlerin oranları %68,7 ile %93,4 arasında değişmektedir ve alt ölçek ortalamaları da alınabilecek en yüksek puanlara yakındır. Genel olarak öğretmen görüşleri olumlu olmakla beraber farklı alanlardaki öğretmenlerin görüşleri arasında anlamlı farklılıklar bulunmuştur. Ayrıca, öğretmen görüşlerinin kıdeme göre anlamlı farklılık göstermediği bulunmuştur. Bulgular, son üç yılda mesleki ve teknik eğitimde kapasitesi artırılan ve tüm öğretmenleri kapsayacak şekilde yaygınlaştırılan eğitimlerin öğretmenler tarafından yeterli ve yararlı bulunduğunu, öğretmenlerin beklentilerini karşılayabildiğini göstermektedir.
In-service training for teachers to keep their personal, pedagogical and field knowledge up to date and continuous improvement is among the main resources used in many countries. Due to the rapid technological changes in the manufacturing and service sectors, the quality of service training in professional and technical training is more critical. Therefore, in the three years following the Education Vision of 2023 the service-in-service training activities in the field of professional and technical training have been significantly increased with the support of the sectors. This study aims to evaluate the teachers’ opinions on service-in-service training activities carried out in professional and technical training in the last three years. This assessment was also studied how the teachers' views on education changed according to their years, fields and backgrounds. The study findings have shown that the teachers’ opinions on the services-in-service training activities that have been carried out in the last three years are quite positive. The ratio of teachers who find the materials in the educational environment, content and educational sub-scale "sufficient" or "completely sufficient" ranges from 68.7 to 93.4%, and the sub-scale average is also close to the highest scales that can be obtained. In general, the teachers’ opinions were positive, but there were significant differences between the teachers’ opinions in different fields. He also found that the teachers' opinions did not make any significant differences. The findings show that training increased capacity in professional and technical training in the last three years and spread to cover all teachers was sufficient and useful by teachers, and could meet the expectations of teachers.
In-service trainings are among the main resources used in many countries for teachers to improve their personal and pedagogical skills and subject knowledge. Based on the technological advancements in production and service sectors, the quality of in-service trainings in vocational education and training (VET) has become critical. Therefore, in the three years following Turkey’s Education Vision 2023, in-service training activities in VET have been greatly increased through the support of the sectors. This study aims to evaluate teachers’ perceptions on in-service training activities in VET over the last three years. The study also examines how teachers’ opinions about in-service trainings have changed with respect to academic year, vocational field, and teacher seniority. The findings show VET teachers' perceptions about in-service trainings over the last three years to be quite positive. The percentage of teachers who responded with “adequate” or “completely adequate” to the items on the educational environment, content, and educator subscales varies between 68.7% and 93.4%, and the mean scores from the subscales are close to the highest possible scores. Although teachers’ perceptions are generally positive, significant differences have been found among the perceptions of teachers in different vocational fields. In addition, teacher seniority has been found to not have a significant effect on their perceptions toward in-service trainings. The findings show the teachers to consider the trainings, whose capacity in VET has been remarkably increased over the last three years so as to cover all teachers, to be sufficient, purposive, and able to meet teachers’ expectations.
