Çok partili hayata geçiş sürecinin başlamış olması, dünyada yaşanan Soğuk Savaş esnasında Türkiye’nin bu savaşta ABD’nin yanında yer alması ve II. Dünya Savaşı sürecinin ülke içerisinde oluşturduğu iktisadi buhran neticesinde 1946-1950 yılları arasında Türkiye’de “dini uygulamalarda liberalleşme” olarak adlandırılan bir süreç yaşanmasına sebebiyet vermiştir. Bu sürecin ardından 1950 yılında iktidara gelen Demokrat Parti, 1946-1950 arasında başlayan dini uygulamalarda liberalleşme sürecine hız kazandırmış ve bu süreci 1960 darbesine kadar devam ettirmiştir. 1960 darbesi sonrası ise farklı bir durum ortaya çıkmış ve din politikaları hususunda bazı değişiklikler yapılmış olup 12 Eylül 1980 Darbesi’ne kadar bu durum devam etmiştir. 12 Eylül Darbesi’nden sonra da bu süreç devam etmiş ve din politikaları bağlamında bazı değişiklikler yapılmış ve bir takım uygulamalar gerçekleştirilmiştir. Bu sebeple 12 Eylül Darbesi sonrası din-siyaset ilişkisinin gelişiminin anlaşılıp ortaya konulması önem arz etmektedir. Bu çalışmada 12 Eylül 1980 Darbesi’nden 28 Şubat Darbesi’ne kadar Türkiye'de din olgusuna ilişkin izlenen temel politikalar ile bunların uygulanmasına ilişkin hususlar üzerinde durulacaktır. Çalışmada çok partili hayatla birlikte Demokrat Parti'nin din politikaları üzerindeki etkisi ve 27 Mayıs Darbesi sonrası din politikaları özetlendikten sonra, din konusunda gündeme gelen okullarda din eğitimi, 1980 sonrası okullarda din eğitimi, din eğitiminde muafiyet şartları, din eğitiminde yaklaşım tarzı, din kültürü ve ahlak bilgisi ders kitapları, laikliğe aykırılık gerekçesiyle siyasi parti kapatma, başörtüsü sorunu ve 28 Şubat Süreci din/laiklik politikaları, sekiz yıllık zorunlu eğitim gibi temel konular kronolojik sıraya uygun olarak ele alınıp incelenecektir
The transition process to multi-party life has begun, and during the Cold War in the world, Turkey has participated in this war with the United States and II. As a result of the economic breakthrough that the world war process formed within the country, between 1946 and 1950 there was a process called "liberalization in religious practices" in Turkey. After this process, the Democratic Party, which came to power in 1950, has accelerated the liberalization process in religious practices that began between 1946 and 1950, and this process has continued until the 1960 coup. After the 1960 coup, a different situation emerged and some changes in religious policies were made, and this situation continued until the 12th September 1980 coup. After the 12th September coup, this process continued and some changes were made in the context of religious policies and a series of practices were implemented. This is why it is important to understand the development of the religious-political relationship after the 12th September coup. This study will focus on the basic policies followed in Turkey regarding the religious event from the 12th September 1980 to the 28th February 1980 and the aspects related to their implementation. After the impact of the Democratic Party on religious policies along with the multi-party life and the summary of the religious policies after the May 27th Strike, religious education in schools on the agenda, religious education in schools after 1980, conditions of exemption in religious education, approach in religious education, religious culture and moral knowledge curricula, political party closure on the grounds of violation of secularity, the problem of the headquarters and the 28th February Process religious/secularity policies, eight-year compulsory education will be addressed and studied according to the chronological order.
