Photography is one of the important forces that trigger the art environment and ensure continuity. It can be said that the art of painting influences the plastic language of the photography due to the fact that the photography was found after the art of painting, that its first field of contact was the art of painting, and that most of the first photographers were painters. It is known that the aim of the experimental studies carried out with the effort to prove that photography is an art especially in the first phase of photography called pictorial photography was mostly to create a pictorial effect. The pictorialism in photography is based on impressionism. While Stieglitz is one of the successful names in the field of pictorial photography, it is also seen that Eugene Atget adopts the methods used by cubist and futuristic artists in his photographs. Although the photography tried to create a unique identity for itself in its later phases, it is clear that it did not completely separate or does not want to separate from the pictorial language. The works of Katerina Belkina combining painting and photography and Özlem Şimşek's revitalization of women's representations in the historical paintings of Turkish art history indicate that photography-painting interaction still continues. The convergence between photography and painting and artist's works that combine painting and photography by using digital technology in their photographs are included in this study.
