As a result of the acceptance by the science of management that human resource is one of the most important production factors, the importance given to human resources has increased. The importance of career planning has become more important today as it is understood that human resources can be used more effectively and efficiently with career planning. This study was carried out in order to evaluate the opinions of people who fulfill their duties and responsibilities under the patient services directorate in the hospital on career planning. 176 people working under the patient services directorate in 4 private hospitals and 2 foundation university hospitals were included in the study. In this study, which was designed as a cross-sectional research type, research data were collected through a face-to-face questionnaire using a questionnaire consisting of two parts, the Demographic Information Form and the Career Planning Scale. In line with the research findings, 77.8% of the employees affiliated to the patient services directorate are female employees, and it has been observed that female employees have higher personal characteristics points than male employees. It has been observed that 46% of the employees affiliated to the patient services directorate have a bachelor’s degree or higher and 39.8% are graduates of the health management department. It has been observed that employees with undergraduate and higher education level have higher career planning sub-dimensions scores than employees with other education levels and employees who graduated from the health management department. 42% of the employees affiliated to the patient services directorate are of the opinion that career planning studies are partially carried out within the institution they work. Employees who think that career planning studies are carried out in the institution they work for have higher career planning sub-dimensions scores than other employees.
