Nationalism, in the years of the republic's establishment, has become an ideology the state uses to create a national society, has shown its influence in most areas from politics to economy, from social structure to culture, has directed to state policies. In contrast, the religion, in response to the modern society that was wanted to be created, has remained back-planed because of the calling of the Ottoman State and the rule. The Cold War process, which emerged after the Second World War, was based on the economic and ideological struggle, and the world was divided into two poles. In this struggle led by the United States and the USSR, almost the whole world has been affected in all areas. Turkey is one of the countries directly affected by the Cold War. Specifically, the Soviet fear, in other words, anti-communism, has directed the political, economic and even socio-cultural policies of Turkey. This influence has shown itself in the fields of nationality and religion in Turkey, and has become completely different from the situation before the Cold War. In our study, in the first years of the Cold War, in the first five years after the end of the Second World War, we discussed how the anti-communism influence in Turkey formed the ideology of nationalism and the understanding of religion and how the relationship of these two facts was reorganized according to this influence. In the early years of the Republic, it has been studied that religion and nationalism, which are not close to each other, have become an alliance with the anti-communism effect.
