Abstract:

The XIX. The first half of the century is considered to be one of the important stages in which the foreign establishment began to root in the Ottoman Empire. The events that occurred in this period of time have prepared the ground for the colonial and imperialism activities that destroyed the Ottoman State, and have led to the construction of the State of Israel, which means the institutionalized existence of Zionism. As a result of the partial meeting of the interests of the Western states with the religious literature, some religious objects were used in the direction of political benefits. In Europe, calls for the establishment of a Jewish homeland on the territory of Palestine are often spoken. France is the first country to express the idea that the Jews should settle in Palestine. However, Britain has become the main advocate and practitioner of this idea. This research paper focuses on the efforts of some Western personalities and leaders in the construction of the Jewish nation state in Jerusalem and around it, and referred to the effects of the relevant efforts on the Ottoman geography and the status of Palestine, based on sources and in general.
