Bu araştırmanın amacı, Türkiye’de sosyal bilimler alanında lisansüstü programlarda yer alan bilimsel araştırma ve yayın etiği ders içeriğinin ideal biçimde oluşturulmasına katkı sağlamaktır. Araştırmanın yöntemi, Türkiye’de sosyal bilimler alanında lisansüstü programlarda yer alan derslere ilişkin içerik analizi ile Karadeniz Teknik Üniversitesi-Sosyal Bilimler Enstitüsü (KTÜ-SBE) öğrencilerine uygulanan anket verilerinin istatistiki analizine dayanmaktadır. Araştırmanın içerik analizinde lisansüstü programlarda bilimsel araştırma ve yayın etiği dersi açısından uygulama birliğinin olmadığı; istatistiki analiz kısmında ise öğrencilerin, ağırlıklı olarak, akademik kariyer, uzmanlaşma ve bilime katkı amaçlarıyla lisansüstü öğrenime yöneldikleri tespit edilmiştir. Sözkonusu tespitlerden hareketle bilimsel araştırma ve yayın etiği adıyla yürütülecek bağımsız bir ders için ideal içerik önerisi, evrensel etik kod ve ilkeler ışığında tartışılmıştır.
The purpose of this research is to contribute to the creation of the scientific research and publication ethics curriculum content included in the postgraduate programs in the field of social sciences in Turkey in an ideal way. The method of research is based on the statistical analysis of the survey data applied to students of the Black Sea Technical University-Social Sciences Institute (KTÜ-SBE) with the content analysis of the courses included in the postgraduate programs in the field of social sciences in Turkey. In the content analysis of the research, there is no combination of practice in the field of scientific research and publication ethics in the postgraduate programs; in the statistical analysis section, it has been found that students are focused on graduate education for mainly academic career, specialization and scientific contribution purposes. The ideal content recommendation for an independent course that will be conducted under the name of scientific research and publication ethics, in light of the universal ethical code and principles, has been discussed.
The purpose of this research is to contribute to the creation of the ideal form of scientific research and publication ethics course content which is situated in the postgraduate program in social sciences in Turkey. The method followed in the study is based on content analysis of the courses of all the postgraduate programs in social sciences in Turkey and statistical analysis of the data obtained from the questionnaire applied to the students of Karadeniz Technical University-Institute of Social Sciences. In the content analysis of the research, there is no unity of application in terms of scientific research and publication ethics in postgraduate programs; in the statistical analysis, it was determined that the students mainly focused on postgraduate education for the purpose of academic career, specialization and contributing to science. Based on these findings, the ideal content proposal for an independent course called as scientific research and publication ethics was discussed in the light of universal ethical codes and principles.
