The aim of this study is to determine competency levels of Turkish learners as a foreign language on punctuation. The research was carried out with the descriptive survey model. The sample of the study was formed from 96 people with C1 certificate. It was understood that Turkish learners were far from the desired level in terms of punctuation success, they almost did not know the functions of some punctuation marks, and they achieved different levels of punctuation success according to the alphabet they used in their mother tongue. Based on the results of the research, these were suggested that recently prepared Turkish language teaching programs should be updated by adding necessary learning outcomes related to punctuation marks, teaching and practicing activities should be included into Turkish teaching sets and more feedback should be given to the learners starting from the A1 level about punctuation marks.
