Abstract:

Target: Giardia intestinalis and Cryptosporidium spp. The important zoonotic protozoon is one of the parasites that infect humans and various animals. The aim of this study is G. intestinalis and Cryptosporidium spp in cats. It is to determine its existence and identify its genotypes by making molecular characterization of the isolates in terms of zoonotic transmission dynamics. Methods: In the Kayseri and Samsun provinces, a total of 100 output samples were collected between June and October 2020. Examples of extract, the beta-giardin gene of G. intestinalis and Cryptosporidium spp.The small subunit's ribosomal RNA (SSU) rRNA gene was studied with nested polymerase chain reaction (PZR) analyses targeting. All PCR products are scaned for genotyping. Results: in 8 of the examples reviewed (8,0%) G. When intestinalis positivity is determined, Cryptosporidium spp. No infection was found. G. intestinalis isolates have been found in zoonotic assemblage B as a result of sequence analysis. This study has contributed to the accumulation of information on cryptosporidiosis and the molecular epidemicology of Giardiasis in cats. Furthermore, the results obtained highlighted the potential of risk for the public health of cats within the framework of G. intestinalis's zoonotic transmission dynamics.
