Consumption, which started with the creation of man and changed with the development of humanity, consisted of only the satisfaction of physiological needs on the primitive basis, but over time gained psychological and sensory characteristics. The emergence of the consumer society, the development of the mass media, the transition from traditional culture to popular culture have caused the consumption habits of societies to change. Within the scope of the study carried out to determine how the change in consumption habits affected the historical bazaars, interviews were held with the tradesmen of Konya Bedesten Bazaar. As a result of the interviews, it has been determined that Bedesten Bazaar has a deep-rooted culture and has become a transmitter of social and cultural values besides its commercial function. The tradesmen operating here, while trying to keep the traditions alive on the one hand, try to keep up with the innovations on the other, show that they are trying to transfer the traditional bazaar culture from generation to generation for a while.
