Rekabet olgusu küreselleşme sürecinde daha belirgin ve nitelikli bir hal almıştır. Bu anlamda küreselleşme bir süreci oluşturduğu için rekabet kavramı da buna bağlı olarak bir süreç niteliği taşımaktadır. Söz konusu bu süreçte ülkelerin kendi rekabet kapasitelerini ve performanslarını bilmeleri ve analiz etmeleri sonraki rekabet sürecinde söz konusu ülkelere rekabet etmeyi sağlama ve rekabet üstünlüğünü sağlamada fayda sağlayacaktır. Bu kapsamda araştırmanın birinci amacı kapsamında G 7 ülkelerine göre küresel rekabet endeksini oluşturan bileşenlerin Entropi yöntemi ile önemlilik derecelerini tespit edilmiştir. Araştırmanın ikinci amacı kapsamında ise G 7 ülkelerinin rekabet performansları TOPSIS ve EDAS çok kriterli karar verme teknikleri ile ölçülmüştür. Çalışmanın devamı olarak araştırmaya konu olan ülkelerin TOPSIS ve EDAS yöntemleri ile tespit edilen rekabet performans değerlerin sıralamaları söz konusu ülkelerin küresel rekabet endeks değerleri ile sıralaması karşılaştırılarak tespit edilen sıralamaların birbirleri ile olan tutarlılıkları ve farklılıkları tespit edilmiştir. Bulgulara göre, ülkelere göre önemlilik derecesi en fazla olan bileşen iş pazarı, ez olan ise inovasyon kapasitesi bileşeni olmuştur. Ayrıca ülkelerin rekabet performans değerleri arasında TOPSIS ve EDAS yöntemi arasında sadece Kanada ülkesi için tutarlılık sağlanmıştır. Ülkelerin rekabet endeks değerlerinin sıralaması, EDAS yöntemi ile daha çok tutarlı olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Ayrıca EDAS yöntemi ile tespit edilen değerler ile küresel rekabet endeks değerleri arasında anlamlı, pozitif yönlü ve çok yüksek düzeyde ilişki olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Bu kapsamda ülkelerin rekabet performans değerleri EDAS yöntemi ile genel olarak açıklanabileceği sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.
The competitive phenomenon has become more clear and qualified in the process of globalization. In this sense, as globalization creates a process, the concept of competition also carries a process character accordingly. The knowledge and analysis of their competitive capabilities and performance by the countries in this process will be beneficial to ensuring that the countries concerned are competitive and competitive in the subsequent competition process. In this context, the first objective of the study is to identify the importance of the components that make up the global competition index according to the countries of G7. The second goal of the study is to measure the competitive performance of the G7 countries by using TOPSIS and EDAS multi-critical decision-making techniques. The study continues to identify the coherence and differences between the rankings of competitive performance values identified by the TOPSIS and EDAS methods of the countries concerned compared to the rankings of the countries concerned with the global competitive index values. According to the findings, the component that has the highest degree of importance according to countries is the business market, and the component that has the lowest capacity is the innovation capacity. Furthermore, the coherence between TOPSIS and EDAS methods between the competitive performance values of the countries is only for the country of Canada. The ranking of countries’ competitive index values has been found to be more consistent with the EDAS method. It is also found that there is a meaningful, positive and very high level relationship between the values identified by the EDAS method and the global competition index values. In this context, the conclusion was achieved that the competitive performance values of the countries could be generally explained by the EDAS method.
