İnsanların ve ürünlerin yer değiştirme ihtiyaçları sonucunda ortaya çıkan taşımacılık, lojistik faaliyetler arasında en yüksek paya sahip olan faaliyettir. İnsanların yaşamlarını devam ettirebilmelerinde ihtiyaç duydukları ürünlerin üretilebilmesi için gerekli olan hammaddelerin elde edilmesi, hammaddelerin üretim birimlerine sevk edilmesi, üretilen mamullerin pazarlara ve tüketicilere ulaştırılması vb. aşamaların hepsinde taşıma faaliyeti gerçekleştirilmektedir. Taşıma faaliyetinin gerçekleştirilmesi aşamasında karayolu, demiryolu, havayolu, denizyolu ve boru hattı taşıma türlerinden yararlanılmaktadır. Bu türlerin her birinin dikkate alınması ile oluşturulan işletmelerin finansal performanslarındaki değişimin analiz edilmesi işletme yöneticilerinin alacakları kararların daha doğru olması açısından büyük önem taşımaktadır. Bu kapsamda, 2009 – 2019 yılları arasında Türkiye’de denizyolu yük taşımacılığı hizmeti veren işletmelerin finansal performanslarının değerlendirilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Bu amaç doğrultusunda denizyolu yük taşımacılığı sektöründe faaliyet gösteren işletmelere ait veriler Türkiye Cumhuriyet Merkez Bankası sektör bilançolarından elde edilmiştir. Elde edilen verilerin analizleri oran analizi yöntemi aracılığı ile gerçekleştirilmiştir. Analiz sonuçlarına göre denizyolu yük taşımacılığı sektörünün kısa vadeli borçlarını genel olarak zorlanmadan ödeyebildiği, varlıklarının çoğunlukla uzun vadeli yabancı kaynaklar kullanılarak finanse edildiği belirlenmiştir. Sektörün 2011, 2013 ve 2016 yıllarında net satışlar üzerinden zarar ettiği, çalışma kapsamındaki diğer yıllarda ise kar ettiği tespit edilmiştir.
The transportation that arises as a result of the needs of people and products to change places is the activity that has the highest price among the logistics activities. Obtaining the raw materials necessary for the production of the products they need to continue their lives, delivering the raw materials to the production units, delivering the produced products to the markets and consumers, etc. Transportation is carried out in all stages. At the stage of the implementation of transportation activity, the types of road, rail, air, maritime and pipeline transport are used. The analysis of the changes in the financial performance of the established enterprises, taking into account each of these types, is of great importance for the business managers to make their decisions more accurate. In this context, the aim is to evaluate the financial performance of the enterprises providing maritime cargo transportation services in Turkey between 2009 and 2019. For this purpose, the data of the enterprises operating in the maritime cargo transport sector has been obtained from the Turkish Republic Central Bank’s sector balance sheets. The analysis of the data obtained was carried out through the ratio analysis method. The analysis finds that the maritime cargo transport sector can generally pay its short-term debt without compulsion, and its assets are mainly funded using long-term foreign resources. It has been found that the sector has been damaged by net sales in 2011, 2013 and 2016 and that it has been profitable in other years of work.
