The population issue constitutes one of the main review topics of geography. This study; the population of Yalova Province various features have been discussed under a geographical point of view. The census results between 1935 and 1917 were used as basic data. Based on these data, the characteristics of the population such as spatial distribution, density, age and gender structure, population movements (immigration), rural and urban population have been revealed, the results obtained were evaluated with the aid of tables and figures. The increase and decrease of the population at certain periods is closely related to the social, political and economic events that are experienced. While Yalova was a district of Istanbul, it was a province in 1995, the 1999 Marmara earthquake are two important reasons for the increase and decrease of Yalova population. The results of the study showed that there were significant structural changes in the Yalova population. It has been determined that internal migrations under the influence of natural environment conditions and various socio-economic factors cause significant changes in population structure of Yalova. The causes and consequences of changes in population structure have been examined.
