In this study, the story/destination of Salur Kazan’s killing of the dragon is to be approached according to René Girard’s mimetic desire concept. Girard's mimetic desire concept was used to solve the greatness of the Grandfather's Book of Fear. Girard's apparently structural theoretical approach was not only applied to the text, but the example brought by the story was tried to be interpreted by cultural and historical facts. In addition to the text analysis, historical and cultural references and literary-cultural-historical approach have been tested. The story begins with the capture of the Aras and Kars Castle continues with a hunting adventure. He wants to go out for a long time with his husband, and he wants to go out for himself. He cannot find hunting alone until the dark is suppressed. He prayed to God that he should not open his hands and return to his homeland. His prayer is accepted and a dragon comes to him. The story ends with the struggle with the dragon and the celebration at the end of the struggle. The story shows that the journey and adventure of Salur Kazan, who calls the dragon he will encounter with prayer, can not be considered as just a narrative. If the mimetic solution is to be approached by movement, the dragon mimicated power, power, leadership, and fear is a threat to the enemy. In another expression that Salur Kazan carries the desire to possess those represented in the dragon with a mimetic desire, in Salur Kazan's representation the story is claimed that those who tell the story want to meet the dragon and kill him as a result of a mimetic desire. The desire for trial that compares Salur Kazan to the dragon and the desire to kill him exists with a imitation in the dragon. In fact, the desire is to be a dragon, to gain the power, power and rule that the dragon and the dragon possess. This simulation relationship established through war appears to be the warner and/or the enemy like a dragon. But it has been claimed that the dragon is the natural warning of those who build the story in Salur Kazan or in his representation.
