Allah tarih boyunca insanlarla vahiy yoluyla iletişim içerisinde olmuştur. Bu iletişim sürecinde her topluluğa kendi içlerinden peygamberler seçilerek kendi lisanlarıyla hitapta bulunulmuştur. Yani ilâhî hitap, muhatap toplumun mevcut dil düzlemi üzerinde onun kalıplarıyla şekillenmiştir. Lisan, hem toplumların sahip oldukları kültürün taşıyıcısıdır, hem de toplumda iletişimi mümkün kılan araçtır. Mutezilî düşünce geleneğinde bu husus, muvâdaa (uzlaşım) kavramıyla ifade edilmiştir. Muvâdaa bir toplumun iletişim aracı olarak bir dil düzlemi üzerinde varlıklar hakkındaki uzlaşıyı ifade eder. Mutezileye göre, bu dilsel zemin, ilâhî mesajın muhataplara sağlıklı bir şekilde iletilmesi ve onlar tarafından doğru olarak anlaşılması için ön şart olmaktadır. Nüzulünden itibaren ilâhî kelam Kur’an’ın anlaşılması konusu Müslümanların gündeminden hiçbir zaman düşmemiştir. İslami ilimlerin ve düşünce ekollerinin oluşum ve gelişim süreciyle, Allah’ın kelamını anlama süreci daha sistematik hale gelmiştir. Bu çalışmada, Mutezilî düşünce geleneğine mensup bir alim olan Kādī Abdülcebbâr’ın düşüncesinde, ilahi hitabın anlaşılması konusu, Kur’an’ın mahiyeti, Allah’ın hitabı ve kelamı, muvâdaa, hitabın anlaşılmasını sağlayacak beyân konularının tahlili yapılacaktır. Bu noktada, Kādī’nın düşünce sistemindeki bütünlük dikkate alınarak sağlıklı neticelere ulaşılmaya çalışılacaktır.
