In this essay, the concept of revelation assessed in terms of Islamic belief. The fact of revelation in Islam has been connected with the belief in the necessity of knowledge of it. However, so called knowledge is not something that is arguable but it is clearly a command. It is also pointed that the significant role and importance of the prophet in transferring this command including knowledge, which is defined as absolute revelation, to the believers. The weakness of historicism has been discussed because of being the revelation beyond the time and space. It has been shown that the God has an impact on the history and society by revelation; in addition to this some definitions of revelation were given in the framework of the verses from the Holy Qur’an.
