Özet:

Dear readers, we are delighted to present you the new number of the Old. In January-March 2019, our magazine has been sent to evaluate 10 studies from our academics. These articles were first followed by pre-evaluation in terms of the formal characteristics specified in our Author Guide. It was then checked using the self-detection program. Articles that passed these stages were presented to the judge’s assessment. In this number, 7 articles that passed through the preliminary assessment and self-scan of the studies in question, our judges found it appropriate to publish in terms of academic content. In order to provide the information of the international academic community and to allow our writers to receive references from abroad, the articles passing through the judge’s assessment, in Turkish and English 150 words “Öz/Abstract” together with 750 words “Recall/Summary” began to be compulsory with this number.  Furthermore, by making the pre-evaluation and arbitration processes of the article we applied rigorously more objective, the relevant evaluation forms have been announced on our new website. In the pre-evaluation, the article's Turkish and English titles, summaries and keywords are examined in accordance with the academic criteria of the relevant field of science. In addition, it is also verified that the writing of the names, works and concepts of the person in the article is in accordance with the principles of the Islamic Encyclopedia of the Turkish Dianet Foundation. The study's dipnot and source writing are required to be fully compatible with the ISNAD Reference System (www.isnadsistemi.org). Every article that has been reviewed in advance in order to contribute to the quality of our magazine is checked in the suicide prevention program iThenticate, which is also used by internationally renowned academic publishing organizations. During this period of publication, the results of the report contained more than 15 percent similarities, the works were returned to the authors. “The judges of the author and the judges of the author cannot learn (double-sided blind judgment).” Our magazine, TÜBİTAK - ULAKBIM has completed the necessary technical work in order to be able to use the strong open access and online academic publishing substructure of the new version of the electronic magazine management system. In this context, our new website (www.dergipark.gov.tr/old) has entered service. With the number in your hands, we are happy to meet you with different topics of scientific quality articles. In this process, first and foremost, I thank our valuable scientists, our publishing, consulting and judgment committees, and especially our field editors, who have unrecallable work in the publishing phase of our magazine, Dr. Mehmet Murat KARAKAYA, Dr. Kenan ÖZÇELIK, Dr. Mehmet Ata Az, Dr. Ishak Tekin, Dr. Ilyas Uçar, Büşra Betül PUNAR and Fatmanur DIKMEN. Dear Readers We are delighted to offer you the new issue of Eskiyeni. In this issue, there are 7 distinguished articles from different fields of social sciences. The journal has received 10 articles between January-April 2017 from the Turkish academics. All articles went through the pre-review process to check the referencing and transliteration style before testing them using a plagiarism checker. We then have forwarded the articles that successfully passed the plagiarism check to our reviewers. Following this process, we have been able to offer you 7 articles out of 10. In order to disseminate the articles, which are academic productions of highly significant endeavours, to international academia and to increase the chance of getting cited in international academic studies, we demand from the authors both 150-word Turkish and English abstracts and 750-word summaries of the accepted submission. Moreover, we have also announced the preliminary review form and the review form for the blind review process. We examine Turkish and English titles, summaries, and keywords to make sure that they correspond to the realted field’s terminology. Furthermore, we require proper nouns and concepts/terms to be written in the reference style ofTDV Encyclopaedia of Islam. We also particularly require for the articles to use the ISNAD Citation Style: www.isnadsistemi.org/en/ To improve the academic quality of the journal, we have also checked the article up for plagiarism. The articles that are marked with a result above 15% are returned to the authors with a plagiarism report. Submissions went through a double-blind review process for the issue.  Our Journal has complied with all the technical requirements imposed by DergiPark, an electronic open-access system hosting journals that TUBITAK- Turkish National Database recently offers.
