Okuma, bireylerin eğitsel değerleri kazanmasına aracılık etmektedir. İnsanın bilgi ve fikir dünyasının zenginleşmesi için devamlı geliştirilmelidir. Eğitim-öğretimin her kademesinde sıklıkla kullanılan bu beceri, değer kazanımında da anahtar bir rol üstlenmektedir. Bireyin; dil gelişimini, zihinsel gelişimini ve toplumsal etkileşimini destekleyen okuma becerisi, eğitsel değerlerin metinler aracılığıyla sezdirilmesine zemin hazırlamaktadır. Eğitim Bilişim Ağı (EBA) üzerinden aktarılan 7- 14 yaş arası çocuk kitapları dizisinin bu çalışmayla incelenmesi, öğrencilere değerlerin nasıl ve hangi düzeyde kazandırılmak istendiğinin tespiti bakımından önemlidir. Türkçe öğretim programında “Değerlerimiz” başlığı ile kendine yer bulan kavram, eğitimde amacın yalnızca akademik alanda başarılı bireyler yetiştirmek olmadığını, bizlere yazılı olarak beyan etmektedir. Bu çalışmanın amacı, EBA’ da yer alan 7- 14 yaş arası çocuk kitapları dizisinin eğitsel değerler kapsamında incelenmesidir. Çalışmada, temel nitel araştırma deseni kullanılmıştır. EBA’ da yer alan 7- 14 yaş arası çocuk kitapları dizisinin tamamına erişim sağlanarak ulaşılabilir evren kullanılmıştır; bu sebeple araştırmada, örneklem alma yoluna gidilmemiştir. EBA Çocuk Kitapları Dizisinde yer alan 7- 14 yaş arası 48 çocuk kitabı, 28 eğitsel değer kapsamında incelenmiştir. Verilerin toplanmasında, doküman inceleme yöntemine başvurulmuştur. Verilerin çözümlenmesinde ise içerik analizi kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonuçlarına göre dizide yer alan çocuk kitaplarının sıklıkla kazandırmaya çalıştığı eğitsel değerler; sevgi f (152), inanç f (137), estetik f (109), mutluluk f (106), bilimsellik f (80), dayanışma f (75), yardımseverlik f (74) ve milli kültür f (63) olarak tespit edilmiştir.
Reading facilitates individuals to gain educational values. It must be continuously developed to enrich the world of knowledge and ideas. This skill, which is often used in every stage of education, also plays a key role in gaining value. The ability of the individual to read, which supports language development, mental development and social interaction, prepares the ground for the perception of educational values through texts. The study of the 7-14-year-old children's book series transmitted through the Education Information Network (EBA) is important in terms of determining how and at what level the values are desired to be awarded to students. The concept, which is placed in the Turkish curriculum with the title "Our Values", declares us in writing that the purpose of education is not only to train successful individuals in the academic field. The aim of this study is to study the 7--14-year-old children's book series within the educational values of the EBA. In the study, the basic quality research design was used. The accessible universe has been used by providing access to the entire series of children's books between the ages of 7 and 14 in the EBA; therefore, the research has not gone to the way of sampling. The EBA Children's Books Series includes 48 children's books between the ages of 7 and 14 and 28 educational values. In the collection of data, the method of examination of the document was applied. In the analysis of data, content analysis was used. According to the research results, the educational values that children’s books in the series often attempt to gain were identified as love f (152), faith f (137), aesthetic f (109), happiness f (106), science f (80), solidarity f (75), compassion f (74) and national culture f (63).
Reading mediates individuals to acquire educational values. It should be developed continuously in order to enrich the world of knowledge and ideas of man. The aim of this study is to examine the series of children's books in EBA within the scope of educational values. In the study, basic qualitative research design was used. Since the entire series of children's books in the EBA was reached by using the accessible universe in the study, no sample was taken in the research. For this reason, 48 children's books in the EBA Children's Books Series were analyzed within the scope of 28 educational values. Document collection method was used to collect the data. Content analysis was used to analyze the data. According to the results of the research, the educational values that the children's books in the series try to gain frequently; love f(152), belief f(137), aesthetics f(109), happiness f(106), scientificity f(80), cooperation f(75), benevolence f(74) and national culture f(63).
