Tarih boyunca deniz, akarsu ve gölleri sınırlayan kıyılar insan yerleşimleri açısından öncelikli ilgi görmüştür. Kıyı kesimleri, yer yüzündeki en hızlı değişime uğrayan alanlardır. Bu alanlar, stratejik öneme sahip mekanlar olması sebebiyle endüstri, ulaşım, depolama gibi çoklu işlevlere imkân vermekte ayrıca doğal değerleri nedeniyle dinlenme-eğlenme turizm faaliyetleri için de uygun konum oluşturmaktadır. Kıyılar bazen savunma amaçlı yapılar için, bazen sosyal kullanımlar için, bazen de panoramik değerinden dolayı varlıklı kesimin konut ve yazlık ev ihtiyacına yönelik yapılaşmıştır. Merkezi konumu yanında Bir deniz kenti olan İstanbul da yüksek kıyı yapılaşmalarından etkilenmiştir. Çalışmada Marmara sahilindeki yüksek kıyı yapılanmalarının yakın ve uzak bölgeye etkisi çeşitli faktörlerle ele alınmaya çalışılmış, örneklemelerle binalara ait sayısal değerler verilmiş ve sonrasında söz konusu yapıların çevresel etki değerleri farklı yaşam ve kentsel parametreler bağlamında ele alınarak değerlendirilmiş ve sonuca varılmıştır.
Through history, the coasts that limit the sea, stream sand lakes have received priority attention for human settlements. Coastal areas are the most rapidly changing areas on the Earth's surface. Due to their strategic importance, these areas allow multiple functions such as industry, transportation and storage further due to their natural values, they are also suitable for rest and recreation related tourism activities. Coasts are sometimes built for defense structure purposes, sometimes for social use sand sometimes due to their panoramic value, are built for the housing and summer house needs of the wealthy. Beside its central location, Istanbul is also a sea city and has been affected by high coastal structures. In this study, the effects of high coastal structures on the Marmara coast to the near and distant regions were tried to be considered with various factors. The numerical values of the buildings were given by sampling and then the environmental impact values of these buildings were evaluated in the context of different living and urban parameters and the results were achieved.
