Abstract The concept of woman-friendly tourism is one of the tourist-friendly approaches that are known but not fully explained. The aim of this study is to determine which metaphors belongs to concept of woman-friendly tourism explanation of individuals over the age of eighteen. The other purpose of the study is to determine under which categories the metaphors produced by individuals over the age of eighteen to explain the concept of woman-friendly tourism are gathered. The research group of the study consists of individuals over the age of eighteen living in Isparta. The participants, who were determined by the criterion sampling method, were asked to liken the concept of woman-friendly tourism to something and explain why they made this analogy. Qualitative data were used in the research. The pattern of the research is phenomenology. As a result of the research, 10 categories have emerged that explain the concept of woman-friendly tourism. The category with the most metaphors was the category of the importance of women-friendly tourism. Other categories are women's reflection, hard-to-reach ideal, vital values, social values, comfort, security, freedom, hygiene and touristic attractiveness.
