The Çoruh Basin located in the east of the Black Sea Region is between the Black Sea in the north and the Eastern Anatolia Region in the south and is a geography where various cultures live together. Love songs and poetries take an important place as narrative art in the memories of the people in the Çoruh Basin. In this article, the cultural interaction between Georgian and Turkish people in the Çoruh Basin is examined in terms of anonymous folk poetry and songs, which is a type of folk literature. The anonymous folk poetry-songs in the Çoruh Basin are sung in lyric form. These are in the form of poetry, chansonette, rhyme and song. Their themes are generally about love for the beloved ones, happiness, longing, separation, pain, and reproach and they are sung with full of emotion and enthusiasm. Due to its location, Çoruh Basin has hosted and witnessed many historical and cultural changes. Therefore, the reflections of Georgian culture are also observed in the basin. The folk poetry-songs, which are sung in the Çoruh Basin, have lyrical themes and similar characteristics in terms of rhythm, whether in Georgian or Turkish.
