The Choruh Basin located in the east of the Black Sea Region is between the Black Sea in the north and the Eastern Anatolia Region in the south and is a geography where various cultures live together. Love songs and poems take an important place as narrative art in the memories of the people in the Choruh Basin. In this article, the cultural interaction between the Georgian and Turkish people in the Çoruh Basin is examined in terms of anonymous folk poetry and songs, which is a type of folk literature. The anonymous folk poetry-songs in the Choruh Basin are sung in lyric form. These are in the form of poetry, chansonette, rhyme and song. Their themes are generally about love for the loved ones, happiness, longing, separation, pain, and reproach and they are sung with full of emotion and enthusiasm. Due to its location, Choruh Basin has hosted and witnessed many historical and cultural changes. Therefore, the reflections of Georgian culture are also observed in the basin. The folk poetry-songs, which are sung in the Choruh Basin, have lyrical themes and similar characteristics in terms of rhythm, whether in Georgian or Turkish. This situation shows the existence of a common culture. There are poetry-songs in the below that are compiled from Artvin and some villages in its towns, sing in both Georgian and Turkish. The cultural unity and mutual understanding in the Choruh Basin also reveals itself in the form of singing these anonymous love poets.
