Abdullah Cevdet, one of the leading names of the Young Turks, with the newspapers and magazines he published, the books he wrote and various articles. He is an artist who took an opposing attitude to the Abdülhamit II administration. In his writings, the author saw every path leading to the goal as permissible for him II. In order to remove Abdulhamid II from the sultanate, he even preferred to accuse him of infidelity and thus to use the Muslim subjects for his own interests. Again, the author in his works evaluates the Abdülhamit II Era as a period of oppression, when freedoms were restricted and the people were deliberately left ignorant, and invites intellectuals to take responsibility at this point. The work named “İki Emel” is the preface that Abdullah Cevdet wrote while translating Schiller's drama Guillaume Tell (Giyom Tell) in 1895. Since the work has an anti-oppressive content, it attracted great interest from the opposition groups, and therefore it was published as a stand-alone book in 1898. In this study, the work called “İki Emel” will be introduced, information will be given about the identity and content of the work, then the work will be translated into Latin letters and added to the article. Thus, through Abdullah Cevdet and his work "İki Emel"the way the Young Turks perceived the world, their feelings, , Abdülhamit II's perspectives etc. it will be transferred from the mouth of a Young Turk himself.
