Piyano, müzik eğitiminde temel bir çalgı olup; yanı sıra müziksel işitme, armoni, eşlik gibi uygulamalı ve teorik unsurların kullanımına da katkı sağlamaktadır. Piyano eğitiminde öncelik solo performanslar olmakla birlikte, kollektif müzik yapma alışkanlığı kazandıran piyanonun eşlik çalgısı olarak yer aldığı faaliyetler ve dört el çalışmaları da oldukça önemli bir yer tutmaktadır. Piyano literatüründe orijinali dört el piyano için yazılmış olan eserler olduğu gibi, solo piyanodan dört el piyano için uyarlanmış hatta başka bir çalgıdan dört el piyano için uyarlanmış eserlere de rastlamak mümkündür. Bu araştırmada, dört el piyano öğretimine ilişkin olarak piyano eğitimcilerinin görüşlerinin ortaya konulması amaçlanmıştır. Veriler, kaynak taraması ve görüşme yoluyla elde edilmiştir. Araştırmanın örneklemini; Gazi Üniversitesi, Gazi Eğitim Fakültesi, Güzel Sanatlar Eğitimi Bölümü, Müzik Eğitimi Anabilim Dalında görev yapan 6 (altı) piyano öğretim elemanı oluşturmaktadır. Öğretim elemanlarına; 2 tanesi kişisel bilgiler, 8 tanesi makale konusu ile ilgili olmak üzere toplam 10 soru sorulmuştur. “Zoom” programı kullanılarak yapılan görüşmelerden elde edilen veriler içerik analizi yöntemiyle çözümlenerek değerlendirilmiştir. Araştırma, genel tarama modelinde durum tespitine dayalı betimsel bir çalışmadır. Araştırma sonucunda; dört el piyano öğretiminin müzikal becerilerin gelişimini sağladığı, birlikte çalma olanağı sağladığı, dört el piyano öğretimi için farklı bir zaman dilimi ayrılması gerektiği, öğretim elemanlarının ders içerisinde bu çalışmalar için kendilerinin vakit ayırmaları gerektiği, ulusal dört el piyano materyallerinin nicelik ve nitelik olarak yeterli olmadığı ve bu alanda çalışmalar yapılması gerektiği, evrensel metotların ise yeterli sayıda olduğu, müzikaliteyi ve ritim duygusunu geliştirdiği, birlikte çalma becerilerini geliştirdiği ve öğrencilerin birlikte uyum içinde çalmayı öğrendikleri, uyarlama eserlere yer verilmesi gerektiği ortaya çıkmıştır.
The piano is a fundamental play in music education and also contributes to the use of practical and theoretical elements such as musical hearing, harmony, accompaniment. While the priority in the piano training is solo performances, the activities and four-hand works that accompany the piano as accompanying the custom of making collective music also hold a very important place. Like the works that were written for the original four-hand piano in the piano literature, it is also possible to find works adapted from solo piano to four-hand piano even from another play to four-hand piano. This study aims to reveal the opinions of the pianists about the teaching of four-hand piano. The data is obtained through source scan and conversation. The examples of the study are: Gazi University, Gazi Education Faculty, Department of Fine Arts Education, Music Education Anabolic Department, 6 (six) piano teachers. The teachers were asked a total of 10 questions, 2 of which were personal information, 8 of which were related to the subject of the article. The data obtained from interviews using the "Zoom" program has been evaluated by the method of content analysis. Research is an imaginary study based on the detection of the situation in the general scan model. The study found that four-hand piano teaching provides the development of musical skills, provides the possibility of playing together, a different time range for four-hand piano teaching should be allocated, that teachers should take time for these studies in the course, that national four-hand piano materials are not quantitatively and qualitatively sufficient, and that studies in this field should be done, that universal methods are sufficient, that they develop music and rhythm, that they develop joint playing skills and that students learn to play together in harmony.

In the piano literature, it is possible to come across works that were originally written for the four-handed piano, as well as works adapted from a solo piano for a four-handed piano and even adapted for a four-handed piano from another instrument. In this research, it is aimed to reveal the opinions of piano educators regarding the four-handed piano teaching. Data were obtained through literature review and interview. The sample of the research; It consists of 6 (six) piano instructors working in Gazi University, Gazi Education Faculty, Fine Arts Education Department, Music Education Department. To the teaching staff; A total of 10 questions were asked, 2 of which were about personal information and 8 of them were about the subject of the article. The data obtained from the interviews using the “Zoom” program were analyzed and evaluated by content analysis method. The research is a descriptive study based on due diligence in the general survey model. As a result of the research; four-handed piano teaching provides the development of musical skills, provides the opportunity to play together, a different time period should be allocated for four-hand piano teaching, the instructors should allocate time for these studies in the lesson, the national four-hand piano materials are not sufficient in terms of quantity and quality, and it has been revealed that studies should be done in this area, universal methods are sufficient in number, they develop musicality and sense of rhythm, improve their playing skills, and students learn to play together in harmony, and adaptive pieces should be included.
