The purpose of this study is to discover whether there is a causal relationship between precious metals (gold, silver, platinum and palladium). Daily data from 10.01.2014 to 02.01.2020 were used in the study and time series analysis methods were used. To determine the relationship between the variables, the stationarity of the variables must first be determined. For this purpose, instead of traditional ADF, PP and KPSS etc. tests which do not take into account structural breaks, Lee Strazicich unit root test, which takes into account the structural breaks of the series, was applied. Then the optimum lag selection was examined according to Akaike Information Criteria (AIC). After that, Toda-Yamamoto causality test was applied to determine whether there was any causality between the variables and if there was causality, the direction of the relationship. Lee Strazicich unit root test with one structural break revealed that all variables are stationary at I (1) level. According to the Toda-Yamamoto causality test result, causality was determined from the gold variable to the silver, platinum and palladium variables. However, no causality was observed from silver, platinum and palladium to gold.
