Abstract:

The conception of the Republican period of education, formed around the idea of national society and national identity, has been formed scientifically by the principles of Sociology and Pedagogy on the socio-cultural foundations. The Republic Period, Ziya Gökalp under the national identity and national culture roof formed a people's ideal with national consciousness as a doctrine, has also provided the foundations of national education to be identified in this direction. The early Republic period of education, which is based on the perspective of sociology as a determiner of the pedagogical approach necessary to educate a generation in the awareness of being a nation, is a period in which the first works that explain the principles and content of the various practices and these practices are published. In this study, Hasan Zeynettin’s work “National Pedagogy and Turkish Intelligence” will be dealt with the way it reflects the socio-economic perspective of the period and the pedagogical understanding of Ziya Gökalp.
