Psychological resilience is one of the most important protective factors of staying psychologically healthy in the difficult struggle of life. Therefore, determining the factors that increase psychological resilience will be an important step to protect psychological health. The aim of this study was to examine the role of self-compassion in the relationship between cognitive flexibility and psychological resilience of university students. The research was conducted with the predictive relational scanning method, one of the quantitative research designs. The study group consisted of 140 university students. Data were collected by the researcher in the classroom using the Psychological Resilience Scale, Cognitive Flexibility Scale, Self Compassion Scale-Short Form and personal information form. Structural equation modeling was used for data analysis. When the findings of the study were examined, it was found that cognitive flexibility was a significant predictor of psychological resilience and that self-compassion had a full mediating role in this relationship. Within the scope of the model, 43% of psychological resilience was explained.
