The geographical and geopolitical position of Ottoman Empire and Russia form the basis of the struggles between two countries both in politics and trade. These struggles, without doubt, took place most hecticly in 18th century. In this period, Russia's expansionist national politics to be among the greatest world states centered mainly on Ottoman Empire; and this, in return, caused the relations between these two countries to be in a constant struggle and war state. Throughout this century, commercial relationships also has important place in the history of the states as well as the wars against Russia. In peace negotiations after each victory, Russians demanded commerical privileges - in addition to new lands - from Ottoman Empire, and they forced them to be accepted by the state. In this study, the political and commercial treaties between two countries throughout 18th century were evaluated and economical privileges that Russia got from Ottoman Empire were highlighted in the light of Russian Ahidname Defteri (Treaty Book) in Ottoman Archives inside the Prime Ministry
